His particular style of painting-mostly on genuine goldleaf or silverleave surfaces – creates singular light and colour reflections , allowing him to realize his striving for fantastic infinity and making Brandner`s pictures unmistakable.
The special technique he uses for his graphic pictures is known as MANUGRAPHY – a screen printing technique which Brandner has developed further. Each individual sheet is manually worked on until he gets it just the way he wants it.
With extravagant colouring sequences (30-40 printing operations) each sheet becomes an individual work of art.
Also special are his painting on canvas and his creation in “land-art-objects”
Reinhard Brandner does not “print”, he “paints with the screen”, and by superimposing and overlaying he secretly penetrates into the unfathomable realms of space and phantasy.
